Tigers Women succeed in making it 4-in-a-row

The Womens team extend their success to 4 premiership in a row, after taking out the AFL Darling Downs Westpac Womens Grand Final. Tigers defeating University 7.3.45 to 0.5.5.

University had defeated the Tigers in the 2nd Semi-final and had beaten Tigers twice throughout the season. The Grand Final was expected to be a close game but the Tigers had other ideas and had a resounding victory.

The defence of the Tigers held strong and wouldn't let anything through, continually rebounding the ball out of the defensive 50. Also the tackling pressure of the Tigers never let University have any easy possessions to set up the play. The forwards accuracy was also an important part of the Tiger;'s victory.

Zee Dyer was awarded the Jeff Neumann medal for a best on ground performance.

The Womens team had a lot of new faces this year as only 2 of the original premiership team played in this year's Grand Final.

The Tigers Women now extend their record for the Darling Downs Womens football to 4 in row and now look forward to a challenging 2019 as the Women's competition continues to grow.
