From the President - 29/7/14

Heres a summary of a few important points for the TAFC as we move closer to finals.

Firstly - a big thank you to our loyal small army of volunteers who helped out in numerous ways over the weekend for our Spionsors and Grandparents day. Whether you looked after the scoreboard, served in the canteen or helped with clean up or set up, sold raffle tickets, umpired.....and the list goes on, your help was really appreciated. A special mention must go to Nev Jericho, who despite the frustrations of pumps and paint problems over two days, completed the line-marking in Yellow and Black in time for our big day. Thanks Nev - the ground did look spectacular!!!

8's & 10's Carnival - Its official - last night at the DDAFL meeting, we were successful in our bid to host the carnival at Rockville Oval this year. The Carnival will be held on one day only, being Sunday the 31st of August. This event will be our major fundraiser for the year, and as such will require help from EVERY team in the club. Come along to our meeting on Monday night and see how you can help out.

Hoodies - As most would now know, our Hoodies have arrived and they look fantastic!!! We have a few extras in stock, so if you missed out on ordering one, they will be available in the canteen at training this Thursday night - $45 each - see Nadine.

Chocolates - As our chocolate drive comes to a close, I'd ask that you please finalise your payments asap. Nadine again will be at training on Thursday in the Canteen to take money for these. Please dont leave it too late - this will only mean that someone has to chase you up, which is just another job for our valuable volunteers!!!

Stingers or Tigers???? - Our Club meeting will be held on Monday night at 7pm at Delaceys. One of the agenda items for that meeting will be whether or not our under 8's & 10's will also transition through to Tigers colours in season 2015. This decision has to be made at this meeting in order to prepare our clothing stocks for next year. If you have an opinion one way or the other, please come along or let me or your coaches know your thoughts!
